It has been announced that the Chicago date on the upcoming Monkees tour with Mike, Micky and Peter has officially sold out.
You can find a few new pictures in the photo galleries of the following sections: 1967 American/British, 1969 North American, 1986 20th Anniversary and 1997 UK Justus.
Thanks to Lisa who recently sent in the following articles, both of which are also now available in the 1969 tour section and the 1986 20th Anniversary Tour section of the website. The first clipping is from an unknown magazine and seems to have been published somewhere around April/May 1969. The '86 article was published in the Philadelphia Inquirer on August 3 and highlights the Philadelphia Monkees convention and the accompanying concerts at the Mann Music Center.

In a recent interview, Micky Dolenz relayed that The Monkees are currently rehearsing for their upcoming concerts.
Other than that, there isn't much to report! In the meantime, if you haven't checked out all of the various pages on the site, take a look around. I'm hoping to attain some 1997 US tour pictures and I'll keep everyone posted here on the blog.
Monkees.com is asking fans to submit 25 of their favorite songs for possible inclusion in the setlist for the upcoming concerts. Place your vote here.
Check out this great photo of Davy (with Micky in the back) during the 1967 Monkees summer tour. Thanks, Al, for the submission.
Not much to relay about the upcoming tour, beyond that the Chicago show is nearly sold out. Things have been quiet on the tour's Twitter and Facebook page. Wondering if we will see a new publicity photo of the band before the tour kicks off...
Thanks to the Rare Monkees YouTube channel, an outtake from the 1997 Monkees documentary featuring Micky Dolenz discussing the 1969 tour, Sam & The Goodtimers, and more has been added to the '69 page here on the site.
Thanks to the Rare Monkees YouTube channel, I just added a video in the DJBH section of the website of Micky, Davy, Tommy and Bobby on the Dinah show in 1976.
The same channel also has some great footage of one of the first stops on the 20th Anniversary Reunion Tour in 1986 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The '86 tour opened in Atlantic City on May 30 and played two more shows there on May 31 and June 1. I'm not exactly sure which date the video comes from, but it's now posted in the 1986 tour section.
Speaking of the '86 tour, remember the electronic drums Micky would play that year?!
Check out this ad I recently found online that advertises The Monkees in Birmingham, Alabama in 1969.
Some pictures of Michael Nesmith playing with the First National Band circa 1970 are making the rounds as of late. Despite the watermark on one of the pictures, they are still pretty cool to see.
Speaking of Nez, here's a promotional picture from his 1992 Multi-Purpose solo tour.
To finish off today, here's a vintage 1986 picture of Davy Jones followed by Peter Tork in the studio in 1968.
