Customers are once again beginning to receive their copy of "Listen to the Bands" from Amazon and other online retailers.
Customers of Amazon and Deep Discount in the United States started to receive emails last evening regarding a delay in shipping for the latest release from 7a Records, a Monkees tribute album entitled Listen to the Bands. Iain Lee, co-founder of 7a Records along with Glenn Gretlund, reached out to the Live Almanac to explain the reason for the delay:
"Amazon seems to have been taken by surprise by the popularity of Listen To The Bands. Apologies to anyone who is awaiting delivery. This is out of our hands. Amazon orders a number they think they can sell, and it's usually low. Well done, you fans! Our distributor has been speaking to Amazon and we really hope that they will be able to sort out this slight delay. In the meantime, if you have your copy and you like it, PLEASE consider leaving a review on Amazon. Every review and 5 star rating helps make our little releases more visible and could make the difference in casual shoppers buying it or not. Thanks for your support on this very special project. Glenn and I are very touched!"
Due to an earlier release date in the UK, customers there have already received their copies, and reviews via Facebook and other platforms have been very positive. If you can't wait for the CD, the album is available to download on iTunes! And on a personal note, the Live Almanac would like to say thanks to 7a Records for all of their hard work in bringing such unique releases to Monkees fans. Please be patient as this small issue is rectified, and remember that all proceeds will benefit the Davy Jones Equine Memorial Foundation.
