Still no word from Rhino about a deluxe edition for this album...
In this mid-2000s interview with Monkees archivist Andrew Sandoval, Michael discusses Sam & The Goodtimers, The Monkees' 1969 appearances in Mexico and some curious behind the scenes experiences there, the phenomenal success of The Monkees in 1967, and working with Jack Nicholson on the soundtrack for Head. This past week, Rhino released the official Monkees app for iPhone, iPad and Android. It's a nice start, but here's hoping Rhino expands the app a bit more to include pictures, a wider selection of videos and other items.
On another note, Rhino's Monkees.com website has not seen any major improvements or enhancements since it was debuted in the mid-2000s. The selection of photographs on the site are nice, especially the recording studio shots from '66, but nothing has been added to sections like that one in ages. The coverage of the 2012 tour was limited to displaying tour dates and a press release. There is a lot of potential there for Rhino to open the vaults a bit and release photographs, backing tracks, outtakes, and more on the website for the fans to enjoy.
Here is a clipping about Dolenz, Jones, Boyce and Hart performing in Bangkok, Thailand in late July 1976. It's thought to come from either Billboard or Cashbox magazines.
Thanks to Lisa Manekofsky for the submission!

Michael opened his 2013 solo tour last night in Franklin, Tennessee, but I have received few reports. Here is a setlist I was emailed along with three great videos from the show that were found on YouTube:
