Thank you to everyone for their continued support of The Monkees Live Almanac in 2015. Please keep visiting! Up next: The 50th Anniversary!

In this article, Lulu, who opened for The Monkees at Wembley in 1967, offers her thoughts on each of the individual Monkees.
My history might be a bit hazy on the pilot episode, but who is this man with The Monkees during the filming of the pilot? Might he be the original "manager" given to the group, before Rudy?
The Monkees' manager, Rudy Gunther, was seen only in the pilot episode and would never be referenced again during the run of the show. He was ultimately portrayed by Bing Russell in both the unaired and broadcasted versions of the pilot:
Any ideas? Please feel free to leave a comment!
And a little trivia about Bing Russell: he is the father of actor Kurt Russell.
In late 1968, The Monkees toured Australia and Japan. On September 30, The Monkees left Australia and traveled to Tokyo, Japan for the second leg of the tour. The group and their tour party were forced to stop in Hong Kong when their flight hit severe weather.
How are your Photoshop skills? (Mine are not so hot!) Do you have a moment to make a couple of 50th Anniversary-themed banners for the Monkees Live Almanac website and blog? If so, I would really appreciate your assistance. Please contact me!
