Last evening, The Monkees performed in Atlanta, Georgia at the Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater. Several reports submitted to the Live Almanac relayed that the crowd was large and enthusiastic, and that guitarist Wayne Avers was not present for the show. Dave Robicheau was introduced by Micky and subbed for Wayne. A friend of Davy Jones, Robicheau performed with Davy as a member of his solo band, and was the guitarist (along with Wayne) on The Monkees' 45th Anniversary Tour.
The set list was also altered slightly in comparison to the first three shows on the tour. Micky's "Don't Do It" was replaced by "Johnny B. Goode," the song he sang during his audition in 1965, and "Heart and Soul," the lead single from 1987's Pool It!, was also dropped.
