Thanks a lot to Sherri Hansen for submitting these photos from the final concert of the 2011 tour on July 23 at the Marcus Amphitheater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Sadly, this would be Davy's final appearance as a member of The Monkees.
In 2011, Davy, Micky and Peter opened their 45th Anniversary Tour in the United Kingdom. The highlight of the UK tour was a sold out performance at London's Royal Albert Hall.
Thanks to Al Bigley for submitting this review from Record Collector magazine.
This program was issued for The Monkees' performance at the Seaside Summer Concert Series in Brooklyn, New York on July 21, 2011. This was Davy's penultimate concert with The Monkees before his passing on February 29, 2012.
Thanks to Scott Catton for submitting this item from his collection!
Available now are a variety of T-shirts, mostly apparel that was sold on the 2011 tour. (There are no shirts with Michael Nesmith's image.)
The store is still advertising 2013 and 2012 merchandise as "coming soon."
Check out the shirts here.
Take a look at the 2011 tour page...I did a little rearranging and added the tour schedule, too.
At the Fox Theatre in Detroit, Michigan on June 23, 2011...
Richard sent in this scan of a rare promo single for "Someday Man." As far as I know, these are hard to find nowadays. This is one of my favorite Monkees songs, and I'm so glad Davy chose to revive it during the 2011 tour, the first time it was performed live since 1969. Thanks, Richard, for the scan!
