Not too much to report after this weekend's Monkees convention. Micky announced the potential for an upcoming live CD/DVD of one of his late 2012 solo shows at B.B. Kings in New York City. Peter recently had arthroscopic surgery on his knee but is recovering nicely. The convention's organizer, Charles Rosenay, told Examiner.com that the three day event in honor of Davy Jones was a great success. For more coverage, check out the following links: Hey, hey, Monkees convention was huge success, organizer says They’ll love him forever Here's Micky and Peter (backed by longtime members of the Monkees touring band: Rich Dart, Dave Alexander, Johnny J. Blair, Aviva Maloney...but I can't make out who is playing guitar next to Blair) performing a rocking version of "Steppin' Stone" as well as "Pleasant Valley Sunday" at the convention.
