Here's an update from Iain Lee concerning the latest about the project:
Getting SO SO SO CLOSE!
We have a cheeky logo for our record label 7a Records. Thanks to album cover designer Scott Balcony for this. It's double exciting because we have more releases planned...
The cover has to be given the thumbs up by Universal Records. That will be sent to them next week and we don't foresee any problems. It is absolutely stunning. Really, I am so moved by it. Scott has done a bloody amazing job.
The 12 page booklet is being proof read, the thank you's are being triple checked (I hope we remember everyone) and the colour of the vinyl has been agreed.
We have got copies of all but 2 of the tracks from the mix down masters. They sound AMAZING especially the Starship tracks. The final 2 tracks have been sourced and cleaned up by Scott. THESE ARE NOT THE VERSIONS THAT HAVE BEEN DOING THE ROUNDS FOR A WHILE. You will never have heard any of these songs sounding so good.
Thanks for your patience. I know some of you were rightfully wary that we wouldn't be releasing anything different from the boots out there. We weren't sure for a while BUT this is going to sound incredible.
Once EVERYTHING has been sorted and given the thumbs up, then the album gets sent off to be pressed. Pressing takes 60 days so I hesitantly suggest we could be looking at late July but please don't hold me to that.
THIS IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING!
