When Davy was on the road performing in the United States in 1979, he was backed by a band called Toast. Alan Green (top left in the picture below), who later went on to work with Davy on his 1987 autobiography They Made a Monkee Out of Me, played keyboards and acted as music director.
Rounding out the original lineup were Skip Reed (drums, who also was a member of The Laughing Dogs, Davy and Micky's backing group in 1977), Jay DeWitt White (bass), and Dennis Larden (rhythm guitar). A revamped Toast hit the road in 1980.
Thanks to Judith Supple Hadlock for confirming the names of the members of Toast!
