When Davy was on the road performing in the United States in 1979, he was backed by a band called Toast. Alan Green (top left in the picture below), who later went on to work with Davy on his 1987 autobiography They Made a Monkee Out of Me, played keyboards and acted as music director.
Rounding out the original lineup were Skip Reed (drums, who also played in The Laughing Dogs, Davy and Micky's backing group in 1977), Jay DeWitt White (bass), and Dennis Larden (rhythm guitar). A revamped Toast hit the road in 1980.
Thanks to Judith Supple Hadlock for confirming the names of the members of Toast!
