Good Times! The Monkees Finish at Number 8 Chart Debut with New Album, Beat Adele, Prince, Ariana Grande
UPDATED 1pm EST: According to Rhino's John Hughes on the Zilch Facebook page, Good Times! will enter the Billboard Top 200 chart at #14. This placement includes digital & physical copies sold as well as streaming activity, which Hughes said was underreported in the Friedman piece linked above. Regarding the article's mention of 1,000 streams for Good Times! Hughes said, "Um, no. Try at least 200x that."
The #8 debut refers to the Album Sales chart that counts only physical and digital copies sold (there are several different types of charts on Billboard nowadays based on a variety of calculations).
