Jeannie Franklyn (aka Genie The Tailor) was a fashion designer and a member of the Sunset Strip underground scene in the 1960s. She had her own boutique where she sold handmade clothes during the latter half of the 1960s. The April 1968 issue of Fave covered the opening of her shop on Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood, where Micky Dolenz and Samantha Juste were among a gathering of many special guests. Franklyn was killed in a bus crash in 1969.
