Not bad, but not really a Monkees album. None of them wrote any songs, none of the new tracks feature any instruments by them (only Peter's track - and he recorded the instrumental backing n 2003) and worst of all, no track contains more than one of the guys. Strictly solo vocal-only performances gathered onto one disc.

I love almost all things Monkees, but this album seems like a soulless cash-grab. This album isn't a band. It's four guys doing pretty tepid Xmas Carols. The reviews mention the hip rock stars who wrote the songs more than the actual members- who do not ever perform together on a single track. Sorry to be such a bummer, but c'mon guys.

As of this writing there are only three reviews for Christmas Party. The album has been out for a week. I’m surprised there is so little interest in this album especially after the quality and success of Good Times. Maybe interest will pick up as the holiday approaches.

When I went to get the Target version on Saturday, it hadn't been racked yet. I had to ask them if they had it and they went into the back room and got me a copy. Next to no news about this CD - and it's pretty great.

The MONKEES Christmas Party is a masterpiece. It's a sold Rock album. lt just happens to be a Christmas Album. "House of Broken Gingerbread", "What would Santa Do","The Christmas Party" are Great new songs. They also do some Classic songs, like. "The Christmas song" " Silver Bells" and Paul McCartney's "Wonderful Christmas Time. Fantastic album!!!

My favorite songs on the album are “Riu Chiu”, “Christmas Is My Time Of Year” and “Unwrap You For Christmas.” Really great album!

So disappointing. While I loved Mike Nesmith's contributions and the new song "House Of Broken Gingerbread", I was shocked at Micky's vocals. They sounded really substandard. As for Peter's cover of "Angels We Have Heard On High", I wanted to forget about it as soon as I heard it. Could that really be AutoTune? And if it is, why? Just awful. If Mike and his sons had been allowed to supervise this record, it might have been really special. Adam Schlesinger could not, unfortunately, make lightning strike twice.
