On April 3, Rhino Records will release The Mike & Micky Show Live on compact disc just as Michael Nesmith and Micky Dolenz return to the road in Vancouver, British Columbia. Featuring live performances from the duo's concerts in 2019, the CD edition is currently available for pre-order, but only in the United Kingdom. Stay tuned to the Live Almanac for more updates coming soon! UPDATE 2/22/2020: John Hughes of Rhino Records has confirmed that the track listing seen on the Rhino page linked above is incorrect and will soon be updated. He also noted that both the CD and vinyl editions of The Mike & Micky Show Live will feature the same 25 tracks with no variants. And as of today, customers in the United States can now pre-order The Mike & Micky Show Live on Amazon. UPDATE 3/8/2020: Rhino's website linked above has been amended and now reflects the proper track listing.

Interesting. I wonder if tracks 26-29 are technically bonus tracks.

So it would seem! I noticed the Amazon UK listing doesn’t have those four extra songs.

Agreed. It should be easy to make a custom song order that reflects the true concert flow.

It's still a butt-ugly cover.

Andrew Sandoval said it's a photo taken by Coco - which I believe. Before I found out I thought it looked like a blurry photo from a smartphone. It looks like a bootleg album.

If you go through Coco’s Facebook photos you can find the original photo (which is a blurry cell phone picture). What’s sad is not only how bad the photo is but how bad the typography on the cover is. What I think is likely is that Coco also designed the cover and dumped her Facebook photo into Word. The reason being is that the photo on her FB is actually of better quality. Still terrible but it has more pixel information. If she dumped it into word or PowerPoint (and not a professional design software) those programs would instantly make the photo more low-res. It ducks this is what the cover is when Andrew thinks the audio is some of the best stuff he’s ever worked on. Too bad the cover doesn’t promote the content too wel.

Andrew said on Facebook today that the album was recorded in March and June of '19. The wording was a little unclear but it sounded like the March shows were towards the end of the U.S. leg.

An RSD release, which will mean a scant number of copies made, and probably just on vinyl with no CD or digital options, would be a steaming load of S***!!

Why not a Blu-ray release? I have a GREAT boot DVD of a full 2018 show - excellent performance by Mike, Micky and the whole band. It would be great to add a pro-shot exquisite video/audio companion release .

I'm sorry, I'm just fascinated at how that album cover passed committee. It's like a low quality cheap cel phone photo- which it likely is- but seriously, there was nothing crisper and more iconic than THAT?

Since everyone is talking about and anticipating this new live album, I would like to see a live boxed set of 3 to 4 cds from 1966 to 2020, or at least from 2011 to 2020. This would include all four Monkees. It should include most of the hits and all of the deepcuts that they preformed these last several years that have not been included on a live release before. Including different versions of their hits like Sweet Young Thing from the 2012 tour and also include all the acoustic sets throughout the years. I would pay a fortune for something like that. It would be like they were all together again. Just a fantasy of mine.

Actually, I kinda like the cover. It indicates movement, spontaneity, stage perspective and features an enthusiastic audience (all of us!) rendered anonymous by the live-action blur. Never mind the "kinda" for the plea is in defense!
