Technically, was not Todd Rundgren's warning made in 2017 when he was singing anti-Trump songs from his then current album? It seems to me he was warning people to shy away from spending a lot of money for a night that would make them unhappy. This happened with some comedians who didn't make similar disclaimers prior to tickets being purchased. Not knowing this tour, it would seem less likely such songs would be on the playlist.

Well... what COULD have been the best concert of my life (last night) was just mediocre. The promoter really screwed up with that one! Way too many unsoid seats , and it'll just get worse down the line. They promoted it, at first, as these stars doing the Beatles White album... that didn't work. Heck, even the BEATLES themselves didn't do their white album live... for a reason, so why force other singers, with their OWN hits to do it, when they could be singing more of their OWN? So..they changed the ad at the last minute to headline them doing their own songs and , oh yeah, the Beatles White Album... too late and too little. They did 2 songs each and the whole second half of the show was the songs from the Beatles white album! YAWN! (Only HALF the album should be played live). They did a great job bringing their own songs back... just should have kept them coming!

I wanted to wait to respond to your comments until I attended last night’s show at the Cabot in Beverly, MA. Not only was it a packed house and a great show, but I have to take issue with how you say the show was promoted. If you look at any interview that Micky has done, and I’ve read a lot of them, he has always said from the very start that this show was going to include hits from each of the 5 headliners in addition to the White Album songs. The set list is over 30 songs deep. Everyone sounded terrific. Glad I traveled from Atlanta to see it.

Basically this show is in parts of the Midwest & Northeast. It's nowhere near my area in the South. I will skip this one, but love the Beatles White Album.

I am a devout Monkees fan, and have never missed a solo or group performance within a hundred miles of our home since 1986. Unfortunately, I will be missing this one. I love the Almanac, because it focuses on pure Monkee news. Sadly, Mr. Rundgren asked those who voted for President Trump not to attend his concerts. I am complying. I deeply apologize for putting a political statement on the Almanac. It's too bad that Mr. Rundgren chose to do the same in the entertainment business.

Thank you for not attending! You helped elect a racist oligarch who is destroying this country and making the world a far more dangerous and hateful place with his childish, impetuous ignorance. You should be ashamed to leave the house, much less attend this show.

Oh, c'mon Scott! Trump isn't so bad! I mean, remember when he impulsively raised tariffs to punish China and Mexico, without realizing that the brunt of the tariffs would be borne by the American manufacturing sector, American farmers, and working American families? Then he offered farmers a subsidy to make up for the losses his tariffs would produce, and borrowed the money to pay for the subsidies from China? MAGA, bro!

...Joe, it's ok that you voted for Trump: He made a lot of promises that sure sounded good, but that we now realize he either didn't mean or were simply impossible to achieve. We've all made mistakes that we can't take back. But we can learn from those mistakes and move forward. Vote against Trump in 2020 and come out to see Todd -- he still sounds great!

You guys have made my point. Politics take the fun out of entertainment. I again apologize for the post. I would feel the same if Rundgren was saying only Trump supporters should go to his shows. The anger that is stoked is so destructive.

Jor, art and music are about truth, beauty, and humanity -- none of which are concepts or values represented by the Trump regime. They are fundamentally incompatible, so if you support(ed) Trump, you will get nothing out of the show anyway. Problem solved!

The anger that Rundgren sewed was destructive? What about the hatred and divisive rhetoric that spews from Trump's mouth on a daily basis? It is silly to compare a mere musician to a world leader when it comes to the amount of destructive potential they wield. Ask an imprisoned migrant child or a resident immigrant who can't get back into the US to see his family or a farmer who is being taxed out of existence who is more dangerous: Trump or Rundgren? The answer isn't surprising, but it may surprise you.

Looking forward to seeing the 5 of them at this concert. I saw Micky, Todd & Christopher within the past year! Christopher could do a good job with songs such as 'Julia.' The White Album is so good! With Micky's strong voice & Todd's versatility, they will do well.

Does anyone know any more about the structure of the show? Are they onstage together? Rotating? Playing full sets? Are they sharing one back up band?

Denise if you haven't already found out I read an interview from Rundgren yesterday that explained. They are using a backing band so the 5 can be up front singing and playing, not all at the same time.
